ACIS-SAT ULP

ACIS-SAT exports an ACIS model of the printed circuit board as a Standard ACIS Text (SAT) file in units of inches. The ACIS model includes a 1/16" thick cuboid (rectangular slab) with holes. Importing this type of model into a CAD package is useful for enclosure design. The vector-based nature of the file enables importing CAD packages to support snapping to PCB features including hole centers. Many 3D CAD packages support SAT files including AutoCAD, Inventor, CADKEY, CoCreate Designer, Cosmos, Form/Z, Microstation, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, IronCAD and more.

ACIS

ACIS is a new generation, vector-based, three-dimensional, boundary representation, and geometric modeler from Spatial Technology Inc. The ACIS Geometric Modeler consists of the ACIS Kernel, the core solid modeler, and ACIS Parametric Surfaces, that extends the kernel to handle sculptured surfaces.

The ACIS Kernel provides functionality common to many applications combined with flexible means to adapt and extend the modeler to particular requirements. It is compact, efficient, and reliable and can be embedded in a wide range of mechanical engineering applications, from creative design to analysis and manufacture.
